Schedule of Events

7:30 a.m.-8:00 a.m.: Run for Snacks 5K Registration - (Alderson Memorial Football Field)

9:00 a.m.: Run for Snacks 5K Race & Kids Fun Run - Walk or Run Event. All ages welcome. Contact: Laurie Bennett (540-798-5737)

11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: Alderson Train Depot Open for Visitors - Come visit the historic depot built in 1910. Contact: Don Sutherland (804-731-9871)

11:00 a.m.: Dedication of the Blue Sulphur Springs Pavilion - (Blue Sulphur Springs Road) Contact: Margaret Hambrick (304-445-7242)

12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m.: All American Baking Contest - (Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church) Entries must be dropped off between Noon-1:00 p.m.: 2023 Theme: Best decorated 4th of July cake. Adult and Children Divisions. Sponsored by Sunshine Dist. Little Debbie, Crawley, WV. Contact: Brenda Gabbert (304-445-7210)

1:00 p.m.: 7th Annual Horse Show - Held at 117 Greenbrier River Estates, Alderson, WV 24910, (Glen Ray Road) Registration will start at 10:00 a.m.- $10 Entry Fee except for class 4 and championship classes. Class 4 will be $5.00. Class 26 bring your own dollar. Championship classes will be $25.00. Payouts will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd, ribbon 4th and 5th. Negative coggins required.
