This resort has the best skiing anywhere near it in my opinion. There is a wide variety of trails ranging from beginner to advanced. The restaurants and stops on the slopes are decent, with an average selection and price comparable to other mountains. The mountain village is a very cool location with one place that has decent nightlife. I have only stayed in a couple places, but I'm sure all of the lodges offer excellent amenities.

This is a high-quality resort with friendly staff, a great mountain, and competitive prices. My wife and I went here for vacation this year, and we loved it. The rooms were nice, the restaurants available were excellent... and the mountain was all we wanted and more. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone. One word of caution: the groceries and ski supplies on the resort are way overpriced, so bring all the gear and groceries you need with you and you'll be good to go.

The best in the Mid Atlantic. Over 60 runs and a vertical drop of 1,500 feet on the longest run. Due to Snowshoe's high elevation at 4,800 feet, they get over 13 feet of snow each year, meaning the snow is a lot better than lower elevation resorts in Virginia and Pennsylvania. You can also have a good lunch at your hotel, instead of eating "fake" food at the ski resort cafeteria. However, make sure to be prepared for blizzard conditions during you stay, as "snow flurries" often turn into blowing snow due to the winds being high, especially during snowstorms.

One of the best resorts or the best in Mid-Atlantic. They do a great job with snow-making but snow conditions are greatly weather dependant and weather does not always cooperate. Nevertheless, I have skied there several times in the past 7 years and it never disappointed.

It was a great place to ski and we had a blast!! Beautiful village. The kids loved the heated indoor/outdoor aquatic center too. We had more snow here in March than we did Tahoe in December, that was cool! The reason for 3 stars vs 5 was we were there on the next to last weekend of the season, after a week of their best snow of the year, but “because they were closing next week” so many things were pretty much already shutting down ... the restaurant in our lodge shut down for the season in the middle of the weekend, the ski shop next to our lodge was closed for the season so we had to go into the village (when one reason we stayed at the lodge was for that convenience) ... some of the employees were so done with working the season that their care for their job showed very unpleasantly. So my point is - finish strong guys!! You’d leave a much better impression that the half-way effort we saw.
