Mountain State Brewing Co, Morgantown, WV

The rustic background of the mountains in Thomas, West Virginia, is the setting for Mountain State Brewing Company, the largest and one of the state’s oldest microbreweries. Founded in 2005, the beer is made there using local sources, and special credit is given to the water in the area from which the beer is crafted. A second location in Morgantown was added in 2011 and is open every day. Sunday Bingo Tuesday Trivia Nights are popular events that draw a good crowd.

Beander’s Restaurant & Tavern, Elkins, WV

Great food, great atmosphere, and great fun is what you’ll find at Beander’s in Elkins, West Virginia, especially on Wednesday Trivia Night. Paddy’s Irish Pub, Charles Town, WV

With a name like Paddy’s, you’d expect great Irish beer and bites, and you’d be right. The Cocktail Bar, Parkersburg, WV

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day but Sunday, this surprising little diner was voted No. 1 for lunch and for coffee and tea by TripAdvisor and has a five-star business rating on Yelp. They have a fantastic wine bar, cocktail bar, and craft beer selection, and entertainment includes live music and trivia night on Thursdays. 

Primanti Bros, Wheeling, WV

Located in Wheeling, West Virginia, Primanti Bros is the place you’ve been looking for when it comes to wings, pizza, beer, burgers, fries and other good stuff. Open every day with half-priced happy hour each evening, there are two other convenient locations around the state—Clarksburg and Morgantown. Menus may vary slightly in each location, but all offer great food and service and the chance to be part of trivia night every Thursday.

Weathered Ground Brewing, Cool Ridge, WV

Known as the place with the shiny roof, Weathered Ground Brewing in Ghent, West Virginia is one of the newest breweries in the state and family-inspired and owned. Open Thursday through Sunday, they offer a nice variety of local beers and name them after key ingredients, like Rad Roots, brewed with fresh cut hay and radishes, and the Ghentleman’s Pale Ale for the men of Ghent, West Virginia. Events include their anniversary celebration in August, live music, and trivia night on Thursdays.
