The 23nd Annual Appalachian Festival is three big days packed with arts, crafts, entertainment, music, food and fun!
Appalachian Block Party is a block party showcasing the flavor and Music of Appalachia in Beckley's Historic District! Taste local cuisine sold by local restaurants and organizations. Enjoy performances by New River Jazz Band, Shane Ingram and The Lilly Mountaineers.
LifexculturexART will be at the Raleigh Playhouse And Theatre at 3:00pm on Saturday, August 24.
Lost Cannon Bluegrass Band and Shane Ingram will perform bluegrass and folk music at Friday in the Park. Lunch food vendors will also be there.
Take an underground tour of a once-working Coal Mine at the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine. Under the supervision of an experienced veteran coal miner, travel 1,500 feet below ground.

There will be craft demonstrations by Christine Keller at Tamarack.
Come to Cynthia Bickey Art Gallery on Saturday, August 24th at 2:00pm for a Camera Club Demonstration. Also, visit the Neville Street Location for a Student Showcase at 4:00pm.
The Raleigh County Public Library will have West Virginia state symbols. Children of all ages are welcome. Saturday, August 24th between 2:00pm.

The locals watch for this show every year and visitors to Raleigh County, WV are drawn to the beautiful, hand-crafted wares. It's the annual Appalachian Festival Arts and Crafts Show, hosted by the Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce and now in its 55th year!
Feast your eyes on the colors, feel the wonderous textures, appreciate the love and care which designed and made every piece. West Virginia is abundant with talent and this talent can be seen and purchased at the show. Over 100 vendors will show and sell their creations. Everything from quilts, to pottery, to sculptures, to wood works.
