9.00 am: Artist Alley

Artist Alley is an initiative of the City of Charleston’s Office of Public Art. Eight artists will be selected to create original works of art that will be installed in the alley across from Fountain Hobby Center on Washington St. W. With lights and
other additions, the alley will soon become a pedestrian-friendly space.

10:00am to 8:30pm Downtown Open

10.00 am: Fairy Follies

Take a tour through Charleston's downtown and discover these delightful Fairy Follies created by local artists and hosted by local businesses.

10.00 am: Salutations, CWV

Brian Pickens and Ian Bode along with Preston & Salango PLLC have collaborated again to create a brightly graphic 15' x 60' design on the historic Union Building overlooking the Kanawha River. The downtown Haddad Riverfront Park will get a splash of color that welcomes travelers, locals and tourists and also lets them know that CWV is a town that appreciates, celebrates and nourishes the arts at first glance from the river or interstate.

10:00am to 5:00pm Art-for-All Kids' Juried Exhibition

The Art-for-All Kids' Juried Exhibition provides a forum for student artists to display their work and to recognize excellence.  As FestivALL celebrates its 15th year in 2019, the exhibition will be held in the lobby of the Clay Center during the first 14 days of FestivALL and will be free and open to the public.  A slide show of accepted works will be displayed on the websites or Facebook pages of FestivALL Charleston.

10:00am to 9:00pm Dizzy Doc's Amazing Balloon Sculpture

12:00pm to 1:30pm, 2:00pm to 3:30pm, 4:00pm to 5:30pm And 6:00pm to 7:30pm: River Queen Cruises

BB Riverboats' River Queen returns to Charleston with 1-1/2 hour sightseeing cruises on the Kanawha River. Enjoy the sights and sounds of FestivALL from a different point of view. The River Queen “River Taxi” makes round trips between Haddad Riverfront Park and the University of Charleston. You must have, or be willing to buy tickets to Wine & Jazz Music Festival if you wish to get off at UC.

Cruise Tickets: $22 adults, $21 seniors, $14 children 4-12; Children 3 and under are free.

10:00am to 4:00pm Pew Quilt Show

Kanawha Church celebrates its bicentennial this year with a beautiful display of old and new quilts draped over the historic pews.  The sanctuary dates to 1885 and is framed by a rare collection of Willett and Tiffany stained glass windows.  Enjoy the artistry of quilting in a lovely setting!  Family heirlooms, as well as contemporary creations, will cover the pews.

This event is free to participants and the public.

12.00 pm: Trolley Travelers: The Bare Bones Trio

Keep your ears dialed in for the sounds of The Bare Bones Trio (Bill & Rebecca Kimmons and Mark Davis), performing a capella concerts on the KRT Trolley. You may even have a chance to join in on a song or two!

4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Court Street Live! - Ryan Kennedy Trio

Live, outdoor “happy hour” concert featuring (band names to be provided in coming week). Enjoy drink and appetizer specials on restaurant patios.

7:00pm to 9:30pm CYAC presents Jack the Ripper

Mark Scarpelli and Dan Kehde’s award winning musical drama about the legendary murders in Victorian London in the late 1880’s.  Great music and an innovative set highlight this, the inaugural production in the innovative new Elk City Playhouse.

8:00pm to 10:00pm Based on a Woo Story: The Urban Masterpiece

The riveting tale of surviving on the other side of the country roads. This play was declared an Urban Masterpiece by Senator Manchin.
